In an ideal world, Shropshire Council wouldn’t be nearly bust; it would be well run, and problems would have suitable plans and mitigations in place to stop them from happening in the first place. As issues arise, plans kick-in in a timely, efficient and cost-effective way.
Sadly, none of those are true. They could at least try to provide reactive services if they can’t do proactive. That would be something but they can’t even manage that. It seems Shropshire Council now only offers inactive or inert services.
Abandoned Caravan left for months less than a mile from council depot!

This abandoned caravan by Park Hall was reported to Shropshire Council on FixMyStreet twice in October and once in December 2024. Yet here we are in January 2025, and it is still there. Yes, things are busy, and resources are tight, but really? Shropshire Council’s Highways depot is literally just around the corner, and it must be seen several times a day.
