A Grimpo resident shared dashcam footage of a near miss at the Sutton / Heath Houses / Rednal straight junction. Clearly, visibility to the right was a factor.
They asked for a mirror to be installed. From past experience, this made a lot of sense to me, so I popped out to have a better look during my ward walk today. Anyone who uses this junction regularly appreciates that visibility is poor, particularly with the road dipping under the railway bridge. With more electric cars, having the windows down doesn’t necessarily assist as much as in the past. A mirror is a relatively cost-effective fix for visibility blind spots.
