Eagles had a stellar win after slow start

With coming back from honeymoon overnight on Sunday I missed the Philadelphia Eagles huge 56-21 win over the Detroit Lions. Having watched a rerun some hours later I can say I am now very happy. After the first 2 weeks I was disappointed to see their record at 0-2. 1-2 looks much better. McNabb lit the night up like he showed he can this pre-season.

The week one loss against Green Bay hurt. Just two muffed punts were all that stopped us from wining a game we should have won. The Monday night game was another matter. We stank.

The norm for me was to watch a Monday night game at live 1:30am on Tuesday morning in the UK. Whilst on honeymoon in Hawaii I was able to watch it at 2:30pm on Monday. Quite an odd feeling.

McNabb, Westbrook, Curtis and defensive end Trent Cole were excellent. More of the same next week against the NY Giants please!
